Riyadh Cables Group Signs Agreement to Acquire a Majority Stake in Artikul Aziya Kabel in Uzbekistan

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – October 27, 2025Riyadh Cables Group Company, the Middle East and Africa’s largest cable manufacturer, has signed an agreement to acquire Artikul Aziya Kabel in Uzbekistan, marking a major step in its strategic expansion into Central Asia and its vision to establish a Cable Center of Excellence in the CIS region.

The Group currently operates large-scale manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq, supplying power and telecommunication cables to more than 30 countries. The addition of Artikul Aziya Kabel marks the next phase of building a Central Asian production hub that complements the Group’s regional network and strengthens its export capability.

This milestone reinforces Riyadh Cables Group’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan’s energy and infrastructure modernization efforts, which are undergoing rapid transformation driven by renewable energy expansion, grid modernization, and interconnections, alongside a nationwide wave of industrial and urban development.

Uzbekistan today stands as one of Central Asia’s fastest-growing and most reform-driven economies, where the government’s industrialization agenda and open-market reforms have created an attractive environment for long-term industrial partnerships. Under the agreement, Riyadh Cables Group will acquire a majority stake of Artikul Aziya Kabel. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and completion conditions.

Through this partnership, Riyadh Cables Group will bring its industrial expertise, lean and technologically advanced manufacturing systems, and global quality standards to Uzbekistan—enabling localized cable production, improved operational efficiency, and reduced import dependency in alignment with the country’s industrial and economic priorities.

Following completion of the acquisition, Riyadh Cables Group plans to expand Artikul Aziya Kabel’s product range to include more technologically advanced cables across low-, medium-, and high-voltage segments, alongside investments in automation and globally benchmarked manufacturing systems.
